Semantic Processing (Semantic Chunking)
Texts are automatically segmented into logical, semantic units. Each unit is tagged with metadata: originating department, role permissions, access levels, and data criticality.
Vector Database Storage (Milvus)
Each knowledge unit is converted into a mathematical representation of its meaning (embeddings) and stored for instant retrieval — matching context and true intent, not just simple keywords.
Permission-Aware RAG Retrieval
When an employee submits a query, Astraeus queries exclusively against the specific knowledge segments that the user is explicitly authorized to view — governed strictly by role, team, and security clearance.
Fact-Based Answer Generation
